Hobbies:

Here is some of the stuff I enjoy doing when I am not teaching mathematics

Reading- Here are some of my favorite authors and of course my favorite place to get books.

Movies- Some of my all time favorite movies and a list of all DVD’s I own.

Basketball- I have played this sport since I was 7.  I have coached middle school teams for three years. During the winter I usually play on one of the teams for the women’s league.  Throughout the year I, can usually be found in a pick up game (12-2pm) at the Athletic Club. (Sorry I don't have a good webpage for this)

Soccer- I have played soccer almost as long as I have played basketball.  This is my summer pastime, and I’ve managed to get my son enthusiastic, as well.

Tae Kwon Do- This is a newer hobby.  In Sept 2003, I joined Arctic Tae Kwon Do as something to do with my son.  Marcus is currently a green belt (5th Gup) and I am currently a 1st degree black belt. This is one activity that has proved to be both fun and challenging

Running- Whether the weather is warm or cold you can probably bet that I am running around somewhere. I usually run about 3-5 miles a day, four days a week.  I enjoy participating in races and events around town.  I run the Midnight Sun Run almost every year and have even tackled the Equinox once (I look forward to doing that again).

Other Things That Occupy My Time

Family- I am the second oldest of four children, who all currently live in the North Pole/Fairbanks area. I also have a 12-year old son who will be starting Junior High Scool this year (YIKES!)

Music- Believe it or not with all of my hobbies I also enjoy listening, playing, writing and singing music.
